How the 3-day return window works
Haley Ford's 3-day return window is part of the Haley Advantage on qualified vehicles. If the vehicle isn't the right fit, bring it back within three days.
Your written terms spell out the details: how the three days are counted, any mileage limit, the condition the vehicle must be in, how your payment and any trade-in are handled, and which vehicles qualify. Ask to see them before you sign.
Make the three days count
- Drive your real routes. Your commute on I-95 or Route 288, the school run, the steep driveway.
- Check the fit. Car seats, your garage, the boat or camper hitch.
- Get a second opinion if you want one. An independent mechanic can look it over.
- Lock in your insurance. Get the final quote on the exact VIN.
- Run the VIN through NHTSA's free recall lookup.

Check any used vehicle before you buy
Every used vehicle we sell is inspected and checked for open recalls before it's listed. You can also check any vehicle yourself, here or anywhere else:
- Open recalls. Enter the 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. Recall repairs on Fords are free at any Ford dealer, including ours.
- The Buyers Guide. Federal rules require a Buyers Guide sticker on every used vehicle a dealer offers for sale, saying whether it's sold as-is or with a warranty (FTC). Keep it with your paperwork.
- The vehicle history report. Ask for it on the vehicle you're considering, and read the title section for flood, salvage or rebuilt brands.
What a used car costs out the door in Virginia
A used car carries the same state charges as a new one. Virginia's 4.15% Motor Vehicle Sales and Use Tax is figured on the sale price, with a $75 minimum, and your trade-in doesn't lower it (Virginia DMV). Add Virginia's $15 title fee, a weight-based registration fee and Haley Ford's $799 processing fee, which appears on every buyer's order. Your county or city bills personal property tax later.
